Homesteader, Prepper, or Survivalist????

I have been doing some thinking and researching for the past day, trying to figure out what is the difference between a homesteader, a prepper, and a survivalist. Often times they are used interchangeably to incorrectly describe what it is a person really does. I **think** I finally figured it out.

Disclaimer: This is only meant to be a light hearted, tongue-in-cheek, thing, so please don't be offended by these descriptions. (Sorry a head of time if it does offend someone...)

Survivalist: Someone who will catch a bear with a trap made out of a tiny twig and para-chord. He will then kill it with his bare hands, skin it with his teeth and eat the bear raw using the salt from his sweat to season the raw meat.

Prepper: Someone who will get a 10 lb. can of dehydrated bear meat from their 30 year stock pantry and enjoy it very much.

Homesteader: Someone who while raising the bear from a cub, will use the bear manure to fertilize the corn and beans in their fields that will be used to feed the bear. After the bear is sufficiently large enough, they will butcher the bear, dehydrate the meat. Then they will tan the bear hide and make para-chord, Then they will sell the dehydrated meat to the prepper and the para-chord to the survivalist.

Sorry...I couldn't help myself tonight. <LOL> Thanks for visiting my blog.   :-D
